Football Manager 27 is now free to try on PC and Mac, but the opportunity is only available for a limited time. Sports Interactive has opened its new Launch Preview, giving players until 6pm GMT on Tuesday, 3 November to get stuck into the latest instalment without paying upfront.

The preview is available through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store. It is also accessible through PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. There is no separate sign-up process: download the Launch Preview through your chosen platform and start playing.

This is more than a short demo. Sports Interactive says the preview includes all game modes, including Shuffle Draft, the new fast-paced multiplayer mode. Better still, any career started during the free period can be carried over into the paid Launch Preview and the full release, so your early-season masterplan does not have to end when the trial does.

Once the free period ends, continued access requires a purchase or an eligible Game Pass subscription. The full game launches on 10 November 2026. Sports Interactive also warns that the preview may still contain bugs and that some club or player assets may be missing or awaiting approval.

If Football Manager has been sitting on your wishlist, this is a useful chance to see how FM27 feels before committing. Just remember: you have until Tuesday evening to get your first save underway.
