Phantom Blade Zero has sold more than four million copies in its first 72 hours, with developer S-GAME confirming the milestone just days after the action RPG launched on PS5 and PC.
The studio shared the news on the game’s official social media account on 2 November, thanking players for their support. The figure covers sales across both platforms, following the game’s worldwide digital launch on 29 October.
That is a remarkable opening for the wuxia-inspired action game, which blends fast-paced martial arts combat with a dark fantasy setting. Players take on the role of Soul, an assassin framed for his master’s murder who has just 66 days left to live.
Developed by Chinese studio S-GAME, Phantom Blade Zero has attracted attention for its cinematic combat, elaborate animations and distinctive “kungfupunk” world. Its launch performance puts it among the biggest new game releases of the year so far.
The game is currently available digitally on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A physical PS5 edition is planned for 2027.
Four million copies in three days is quite the statement. It will be interesting to see whether S-GAME can keep that momentum going over the coming weeks, particularly as word of mouth spreads beyond the launch window.
